We're Back... and Armed with a LOT of Pictures

We just returned from our week down in Carlsbad.  We rented a little apartment steps away from the beach and within a half hour from heaven - at least from Zach and Josh's point of view.  We went to the Wild Animal Park (twice):

We also spent some time at the Birch Aquarium before heading to the San Diego Zoo in the afternoon:

Zach spent time at the tide pool and all the boys (Chris especially) played with boats and learned about water currents:

 

We, of course, spent some time at Legoland.  The boys had a chance to ride more rides then last time.  Zach rode his first "big boy" roller coaster and LOVED it.  Josh was limited to his rides but you'll see from the picture below he had a blast on his kiddie ride.

 

 

They also just opened a new Legoland Waterpark - it was genius of them because you add water to any situation and the kids (of all ages) have a great time:

After a day at the beach and going to a kid's museum, we ended the week at the Padres game:

All in all, it was a successful vacation.  Although we're exhausted, it was worth it.  I think this picture sums up how we all felt about family time:
