Natural History Museum

Yes, we broke free from our habit and headed to the Natural History Museum.  I've always taken this place for granted since it's been across the street from USC.  It was always just there.  The place we would walk by on our way to the Coliseum.  The place where they had fossils and such. 

First of all, the building is absolutely gorgeous and they have done a lot to update it.  Although they had the traditional dioramas, they were more extraordinary than I remembered and the boys really liked it.  Zach met a T-Rex:

But when he turned around, the look on his face was priceless:

"Mommy, look what they have!"  He runs down the hall and sees this:

Yup, elephants... we mine as well have been at the zoo.  But at the zoo, you don't get to sit on turtles:

We will definitely go back again.
