Mini-Vacay

We spent a long weekend at La Quinta and had a nice time soaking in the pools, stuffing our faces and being together as a family.  My favorite thing was to have drinks and lunch served to us next to the pool.  The boys seemed to enjoy it too... I hope they won't expect this service at home.
Aside from pool-hopping, we adventured to The Living Desert.  They aren't joking when they say desert... it was 102 degrees and we learned our boys aren't made for that type of living.  As amazing as the zoo was, we cut it short to ensure survival.

The boys with their souvenirs.  Zach brought home a painted wolf and Josh picked a sand cat.

The next day we chose an indoor activity and went to an interactive childrens museum.  The boys went grocery shopping,
made pizzas,

and painted.
It was just like being at home. We all had a nice time despite this hairband/rock n' roll thing happening at the resort.  It definitely brought an unusual clientele to the place, but GREAT for people watching.  We will try and recreate the times at the pool at home.  We're considering hiring a full-time bartender that will attend to our drink orders and run and get Chipotle as needed.  Who's in?
