Working on Me

One thing I've been working on for the past few years is trying to be a better person - just in general.  One of the things I've focused on is being less controlling and trying to have everything "perfect"... I'm clearly a work in progress but I think today was a huge development.

I let the boys have free reign over the Christmas cookies and how they were decorated.  They made a huge mess and had a great time so I think I've reached a milestone because I didn't care about the mess or how the cookies turned out.

 

Now don't all fight over eating these...

 

For full disclosure, I should mention that I've already baked three types of cookies and caramel corn so by the time these sugar cookies had to be done - I was exhausted!
