The boys had their school carnival this past weekend. These carnivals sure have come a long way from the days of cake walks and tic-tac-toe. I am always impressed with the commitment of the parents and all the work they put into supporting the school. I used to complain thinking these "other" parents had nothing better to do, but I'm realizing that many of them have full-time jobs and give all their extra time volunteering. They clearly love their kids more.
The boys got to go "mining" and come home with bags of crystals and rocks:
There were also endless games, prizes, food, a silly-string course and of course, paddle boards:
This is why our city has the highest water use in the state.
