From Legoland to the Safari Park

Our style is often to jump in the car at the last minute and head out of the house with the boys.  Well, we made a big mistake this Sunday and went to Legoland.  It's always our safe haven because even at its most crowded, it is completely bearable.  We knew something wasn't right when we pulled up 20 minutes before they opened and there was a long line of cars waiting to enter... something wasn't right in the air.  I had a gut feeling it was some type of "free day for employees of XXXX company".  We got about 2 feet into the park and saw it was "Community Day" where they were giving out free tickets for kids and $20 for others... we were doomed!  This was essentially my worse nightmare.

We stayed long enough for me to beat Chris at a shooting game.
Chris' score on the left; Zach's on the right
My score on the left; Josh's score

... and for us to check out the new Star Wars Lego characters.
After an hour of the crowds, our internal alarm went off "ABORT, ABORT!".  We jumped in our car and headed to the Safari Park.  It was peaceful with wide-open space.... our other sanctuary.

Never again will I make that mistake but in the end it worked out perfectly.
