We got back from our week long vacation in Belize last week. It was quite a marathon with work and school and life before we left so when we arrived in Belize we did our best to relax and nap our time away.
The boys finished school on May 27 and we took a red-eye that night to Belize City. We arrived a bit groggy and wearing the wrong clothes because it was hot and humid. We then took a little plane over to Ambergris Caye to our wonderful accommodations.
We had a great room with a gorgeous view. I could have stayed on this patio all day except that the humidity was unbearable at times.
When we weren't taking cover in an air conditioned room, the boys were downing watermelon juice and mango fruit shakes:
They also spent a lot of time in the pool:
This home away from home was exactly what we needed. The comforts of a home with the benefits of a hotel. My favorite touch was having our laundry done every day... if I only could have figured out how to have this done at home.
